Kacey Williams

Q: What experience do you have that you think has helped you most in being a part of this team?

I have felt fear for many reasons and at many points in my life. None of which makes me an expert on fear, but has shown me that I am not willing to give up. My only hope is that my experiences of fear and how I overcame them may help someone else with theirs. 

Q: Cats or Dogs? 

100% Dogs. I had a cat once that climbed curtains... since then I have vowed to never again let possessed animals into my home :). 

Q: What's the most inspiring part of your role in IWRF? 

The moment when you see an ounce of hope in someone who thinks there isn't any... that's the moment that my purpose is realized.

Q: When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be a ______ when I grew up. 

Singer. I saw Whitney Houston sing and wanted to be just like her. 

Q: If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Q: Where can you most likely be found on your day's off?

With my daughter &/or out for a run. 

Q: How do you want people to remember you?

As a person that made them feel special. 

Q:What is your spirit animal and why? 

Q: If you could give someone one piece of empowering advice, what would it be?

Don't give up. Life is full of terrible people that do and say terrible things, but it is also full of good people that say and do wonderful things. Don't loose sight of the good because of the bad.

Humble, kind, dreamer, unbreakable, passionate. 

Brandy Rowe

Q: What experience do you have that you think has helped you most in being a part of this team?

I have been someone and I love someone who has been a victim of assault or domestic violence and abuse. I have also allowed fear to paralyze me and hijack some really important dreams. These experiences fuel my understanding and empathy for all those that need support. I hope to encourage other to find the liberating freedom that exists on the other side of fear.

Dogs. All the dogs.

Q: What's the most inspiring part of your role in IWRF? 

Seeing an individual rise above their fears, whatever they may be, even in the smallest of ways. 

Q: When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be a ______ when I grew up. 

A mom. 

Q: If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

My grandma's Mac and Cheese. 

Q: Where can you most likely be found on your day's off?

Handing with my people. 

Q: How do you want people to remember you?

As kind. 

Q:What is your spirit animal and why? 

An elephant. Because the women lead the herd. They have deep family bonds and live in tight knit groups where all the females pitch in to raise the young and each takes turns protecting the babies. They are highly intelligent and display complex emotions such as empathy and compassion and self-awareness. 

Q: If you could give someone one piece of empowering advice, what would it be?

One is not enough!

Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will. 

Don't accept the things you can't change, but change the things you cannot accept.

Shy, creative, articulate, competitive, humanistic. 

Megan Micinski

Q: What experience do you have that you think has helped you most in being a part of this team?

Being a victim of assault, I never want anyone to go through what I went through. So if I can help on person it's worth it. The drive to protect members of the community from bieng victims really has helped me.  

Q: Cats or Dogs? 

DOGS!!!

Q: What's the most inspiring part of your role in IWRF? 

Hearing that someone now feels safer after taking our class!

Q: When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be a ______ when I grew up. 

Rich house wife. 

Q: If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Tacos

Q: Where can you most likely be found on your day's off?

At the ball park or soccer field.

Q: How do you want people to remember you?

As someone who never gave up even when the odds were stacked against her. Someone who always got through it!

Q: What is your spirit animial and why? 

A Liger. Because it's the coolest animal ever! Duh!

Q: If you could give someone one piece of empowering advice, what would it be?

Somewhere out there is something better and that something better is worth fighting for. 

Q: Describe yourself in 5 words. 

Opinionated, Hard Headed, Motivated, Sarcastic, Loyal

Q: What experience do you have that you think has helped you most in being a part of this team?

My experience as a woman who has survived sexual assault has helped me the most when it comes to being part of this team. Those experiences are what make this cause so important to me.  

Q: Cats or Dogs? 

I absolutely love dogs and want to be surrounded by dogs 100% of the time. However, I like cats too!

Q: What's the most inspiring part of your role in IWRF? 

The most inspiring part to me would be the self defense classes.  

Q: When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be a ______ when I grew up. 

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be a superstar when I grew up. I then learned that I cannot sing, dance, or act. 

Q: If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I could only eat on food for the rest of my life, it would probably be all different versions of French fries. 

Q: Where can you most likely be found on your day's off?

On my (very rare) day off, I am usually at home, sleeping and binge watching Netflix, with my dogs. 

Q: How do you want people to remember you?

As a kind individual who positively affected their life in one way or another. It wouldn't hurt if they thought I was funny , too. 

Q: What is your spirit animal and why? 

A butterfly - a master of transformation, with a strong personality, and likes to be playful.

Q: If you could give someone one piece of empowering advice, what would it be?

My empowering advice is simple, yet something everyone NEEDS to know - Say NO. You can and should learn no - without guilt.

Q: Describe yourself in 5 words. 

Kind, loyal, hardworking, empathetic ,and epistemophilic.
